A bear at Karachi Zoo is kept in a terrible state and his videos are circulating on social media wherein, people are demanding immediate intervention. The bear is severely dehydrated. His enclosure has no food and water in sight and he seems to be in an overall bad state.

The bear requires immediate help and rescue. Pictures of the thirsty and frail bear at Karachi Zoo have gone viral and people are furious. Others have profusely condemned zoos calling it a jail for animals. Also, uprooting them for the sake of amusement is extremely unfair and not taking care of them is utterly atrocious. Previously, Kaavan an elephant created a frenzy on social media. The elephant was kept in a rather sorry state and neglected to an extent of being distressed and physically ill. Thankfully, people took notice and he is now recovering and soon on his way to a sanctuary located in Cambodia.

People are requesting everyone to come forward and contact Director of the zoo, Iftikhar Shalwani and Karachi’s mayor Wasim Akhter or Wildlife department in Sindh to take take action and move the bear to a sanctuary as soon as possible.
