Pakistan is the land of magic. It’s a land of hopes and never-ending dreams. It’s a country where no matter how less you have but you never stop dreaming and aiming. Here ambitions and aims have no age. It is a country where a 12-year-old kid Arfa Kareem and 6-year-old Hamza Shahzad get the certificate for being the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional and today a man aka “Baba Ji” having an age of more than 70 years made history by taking the admission in University to complete his bachelor
There is this great old man from Malakand, KPK, known as “Baba Ji” is a living proof that the love for education and knowledge is timeless and can be diminished under no circumstances.
Baba Ji, who preferred to keep his identity secret and hidden due to some reasons, mentioned that he never been able to complete his bachelor’s in his young days due to fewer finances and impoverished conditions. He said that now he is thankful to ALLAH for making him capable to fulfill his dreams. He also said that he is obliged to Malakand University for giving him this chance to learn and gain knowledge and polish his skills again.
People like Baba Ji are like an example for the youth of Pakistan, who despite having all the resources shun their education and take it for granted. This old man set precedence for so many people of his age, who wants to go but are shy-struck and hesitate because of society and the sharp as blade slogan “log kya kahenge”.
Being a Muslim nation, we know that Islam doesn’t only ask us to get knowledge but emphasize on it.
Rasool Allah (S.A.W) once said “Get knowledge even if you have to go to China for it”. We are lucky that in today’s era, we have an abundance of great educational institutions that open-heartedly welcome every age without being reluctant. So take this as an example and if you have any parent, grandparent who wouldn’t be able to complete their studies and wants to learn more, then hold their hands and help them to get the gift of knowledge they once have given to you.
