Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is going to install 150 prefab toilets in different tourist locations of Hazara and Malakand for visitors. Prefabricated toilets are manufactured off-site in advance, usually in standard sections that can be easily shipped and assembled.
Abid Majeed, Secretary Sports, Tourism, Archeology, Culture and Youth Affairs, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in a tweet said, “70 Single Unit and 40 four units Prefab Toilets (total 150) with Septic Tank and Soakage Pit to be installed in different tourist locations of Hazara and Malakand Divs by March.”
He further said separate units for differently-abled people will be ensured also.

On the twitter post, when people asked how the administration will ensure the cleanliness measures, Adbi Majeed said KP government will be outsourcing for both these and those planned for permanent construction for which survey is ongoing atleast one toilet facility per 45-60 min drive or 15-20 km.
“Administration will try to get petrol pumps and hotels in area to also standardise their washrooms for accreditation,” he said.
