Qasim Suri attacked at a restaurant allegedly by PML-N activists

ISLAMABAD: Former Deputy Speaker National Assembly (NA) Qasim Suri was attacked by a group of unidentified people in the wee hours of Friday in Islamabad, Bol News reported.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader was attacked while he was sitting at a private hotel in Kohsar Market.

Qasim Suri took to his Twitter and said that thugs of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) attacked him at a local restaurant but were beaten away by the families and waiters who came to his rescue.

The former deputy speaker maintained that the “imported government” has now resorted to such shameful tactics.

As per details, Suri remained unhurt in the attack and was shifted to a hospital for a medical checkup along with his friends.

He also filed a complaint against the attack and the police have started collecting evidences with the help of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage.

The police have claimed that those visible in the footage would be arrested soon.

It is pertinent to mention here that the scuffle happened after a group of people chanted slogans against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s delegation at Masjid-e-Nabwi.
