KARACHI: The Sindh government would provide agricultural machinery to farmers on easy instalments, Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Agriculture Manzoor Hussain Wassan said, while talking to dignitaries from different walks of life, a statement said on Thursday.
The dignitaries came to meet the adviser at his residence in which a number of farmers were also present.
“[The] Sindh government is striving to create awareness among the farmers regarding [the] use of modern agriculture techniques and technology and we are intending to introduce new schemes in this regard,” Wassan said.
“Through agricultural self-sufficiency, we are trying to save our precious foreign exchange, which we spend every year on the import of edible oil,” the adviser said.
Wassan said: “For strengthening and promotion of our agriculture sector, we also get help from Malaysia and other countries.”
