Terrorists Open Fire On Security Forces, Official Martyred

One soldier was martyred and three others were injured when terrorists opened fire on security forces near Turbat, Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Service Public Relations(ISPR), the terrorist attack took place at Jhaki, 35 km southeast of Turbat.

Lance Naik Waseemullah was martyred while 3 security personnel were injured in the exchange of fire between the security forces and the patrolling party.

It should be noted that attacks on security forces have increased in the last few months in which many security personnel have been martyred and several injured.

Two days ago, 14 security personnel, including seven security guards, were martyred in a terrorist attack on an Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) convoy in Ormara area of ​​Gwadar district in Balochistan.

“Security forces guarding the OGDCL convoy en route from Gwadar to Karachi and terrorists exchanged fire on the Coastal Highway near Ormara,” the ISPR said in a statement.

“Security forces responded effectively and evacuated OGDCL employees from the scene, ensuring their safety,” the statement said.

Among the soldiers who were martyred in the encounter with the terrorists were Subedar Abid Hussain from Layyah district of Punjab, Naik Muhammad Anwar from Sibi, Lance Naik Iftikhar Ahmed from Dera Ghazi Khan, soldier Muhammad Naveed from Chakwal, Balochistan. Among them were Lance Naik Abdul Latif from Pishin district and Muhammad Waris from Mianwali.

On the same day, an officer and five soldiers were martyred in a terrorist IED blast on a military convoy in the North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The blast killed 24-year-old Captain Omar Farooq, 37-year-old Deputy Subedar Riaz Ahmed, 44-year-old Deputy Subedar Shakeel Azad, 36-year-old Hawaldar Younis Khan, 37-year-old Naik Muhammad Nadeem and 30-year-old Lance Naik Ismatullah.

Earlier on September 12, a remote-controlled bomb had exploded in Miranshah Tehsil of North Waziristan, killing Pakistani Army personnel.

According to ISPR, the remote-controlled blast took place near a security forces check post on Boya Road in Miranshah.

The statement said that 33-year-old soldier Sajid was martyred in the blast.

On September 4, an IED blast near a Pakistani army convoy in North Waziristan killed three personnel, including an officer.

The ISPR said in a statement that a remote-controlled bomb was detonated by terrorists near a Pakistan Army contingent guarding a road repair team in the Gherium sector on Shaganshpa Road in North Waziristan.
